October 12 presidential polls: Biya's Re-election Campaign Takes Off in North West Region

The Cameroon People's Democratic Movement, the CPDM political party has set the ball rolling for president Biya to emerge victorious at the upcoming presidential polls scheduled for October 12 this year.
The CPDM campaign team, headed by Philemon Yang, Prime Minister emeritus and head of the party's permanent delegation to the north west, presented a resume of Biya's leadership and vision for the region Saturday September 27 at the Bamenda congress hall to thousands of militants and sympathizers.
According to the one-time prime minister, all 12 candidates contesting the up coming elections are good Cameroonians, who however do not possess the skills and quality of the current president.
He lamented that the opposition, have spent a lot of time criticizing president Paul Biya, his age etc.
"Criticizing a president is not a project nor plan, the constitution allows for everyone to be judged by their qualities and competence"
"They tell you, they will take you to heaven but they've never been there and we do not need people to govern when they've never been able to govern a village".
He described Biya as an experienced and leader with wisdom who's been able to lead this country as a statesman and not a politician.
A visionary with powerful intuitions who thinks about the future and all the good things needed by Cameroonians.
A man he said , reflects dialogue and peace and excellent skills in problem solving.
A man of national unity who've done it all for Cameroonians to be united, democratic in nature as he introduced multiparty politics, promoting women ans youth initiative likewise.
A great builder who has continue to invest in health, educational, water, sports infrastructure like stadium to make Cameroonians a free people.
"The mandate he's asking for is to ensure that he can improve in anything that he started and embark on the new projects to come".
That the president has preserve peace, unity in the country, especially in the North West and South West.
Yang Philemon said president Biya is the best person to accelerate the match towards emergence with the zeal to make the country look like any other country in Europe.
The CPDM campaign launch was described as a historic and symbolic event by the YCPDM Mezam 1b president Nche Fru Abongwa, who uses the occasion to salute the unmatched leadership of president Biya.
His words were complemented by the youth president of the North West region who also acknowledged that " it is Paul Biya that our votes will make votes will make more meaning".
Another highlight of the event, was the counting of the achievements of women in the region, whom, thanks to the CPDM flag bearer, occupies huge post of responsibilities in society and are achieving more thanks to the principles of the New deal.
WCPDM section president for Momo Mrs Massanga Louise praised the increased of women in position of power.
The campaign launch also feature a presentation of the campaign materials of candidate, Paul Biya to the militants by Mr Godfred Foryang and an illustration on how the militants should carry themselves on election day proper.
Bamenda City Mayor Achobong tembang Paul, branded president Biya's ballot paper, colour and Logo, laying emphasis on the need for the militants to get their cards, be at their polling stations ahead of time, vote ans be able to secure their votes during counting when voting is over.
He said, they must give no room for the opposition to fraud .
The CPDM campaign launch ended with a motion, with the North West CPDM actors soliciting their unflinching support to guarantee Biya another term of office.
