NW Governor calls on population to be actively involved in the Peace and Development Initiatives

The representative of state, Governor Adolph Lele Lafrique, at the 2025 June Ordinary Session of the North West Regional Assembly, has launched a call for citizens of the region to be actively involved in the peace and development efforts of their respective communities.

He made call Monday July 14 as he opened deliberations at the session, dedicated to examine and adopt projects that will foster peace and development, to be enshrined in the 2026 Budget that will be voted in December.

Lele Lafrique told the people's representative at the 2026 budget orientation debate to make sure their inputs and deliberations, reflects the aspirations of those they represent at the assembly.


To achieve local development, the state representative said, government counts on the effective collaboration of the assembly and the pivotal and strategic role It's expected to play in this regard.

He saluted the institution for pioneering the first ever economic forum in the region which brought together public and private investors who chatted the course and began taking actions for the economic rebranding of the North West region.

Upcoming Elections

With the electorates convened, governor Lele Lafrique used the occasion to call on the population of the region to fully participate in the upcoming presidential elections by showing up at the polling stations and centres on october 12 and choose a candidate of their choice.

"The region cannot be left out on such an important activity for whatever reasons" he added

He cited the security concerns of the region, laying emphasis for continues collaboration between the population and security officials. In his words "You see something, You say something"
