CAMTEL Donates FCFA 10Million For Economic Transformation of the North-West at Region's first ever Economic Forum


CAMTEL Stand at North-West Economic Forum in Bamenda


The leading telecommunications operator in Cameroon - CAMTEL, has poured in 10million francs CFA, into the North West Development and Investment Fund (NOWEDIF), to help the region regain it's status as a once vibrant region, booming with economic activities in Cameroon.

The announcement of the contribution was welcomed with a thunderous applause from state dignitaries, economic and investment institutions that answered present at the first ever Economic Forum organized by the North West Regional Assembly, intended to rebrand and reposition the North West economically and socially.

Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL, has been a key player in the digital transformation of businesses and services in the nation, a vision shared by the North West regional assembly under the North West Digital Association (NOWEDA), that seeks to position many local businesses like the North West cuisines, other economic, social and culltural values on the global stage.

CAMTEL shines at maiden edition of North West Economic Forum

CAMTEL, Cameroon's digital hub, driving the country's economic development via the provision of high-speed Internet, cloud services , cybersecurity and enterprise connectivity through the donation, indicated it's readiness to see the North West region, regain it's status as one of the key drivers of Cameroon's economy.

Under the leadership of Judith Yah Sunday eps Achidi, the state corporation at the 14th edition of the Government Action Fair that took place in Yaounde, announced that it was ready to rollout 5G technology for  improved services. 

The Pioneer edition of the North-West Economic Forum, that took off in Bamenda on July 12, to close on July 13 2025 is taking place under the theme "From Resilience To Renaissance: strategies for the economic transformation of the North West region.


It features panel discussions from entrepreneurs, investors to state enterprises on how the North West, despite the crisis can rebuild itself and doing so better than it was.
