Newly appointed members of the CPDM Central Committee, entrusted with party activities in Bui and Momo divisions in the North West region have been officially installed 

One time governor of the North West, Fai Yengo Francis and Minister Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam, appointed alongside others in a recent decision signed by the National President and Chairman of the ruling People's Democratic Movement Party, Paul Biya, have been charged to coordinate party activities in Bui and Momo divisions respectively

They were installed at the Bamenda Congress Hall - birth place of the party in 1985 by the CPDM Interim Permanent head of Delegation to the North West and political bureau member Senator Mrs Regina Mundi on Thursday April 17.

At the installation, Mrs Regina Mundi tasked them to coordinate and strengthen party activities at the base in view of the 2025 presidential elections.

She also indicated that the installed are expected to work according to the rules and regulations of the party, bring in new militants and to be the driving force of the CPDM in their respective divisions.

She said those appointees have the mettle, leadership qualities and expertise to deliver in their assigned mission.

" We are also expecting them to be the preachers of peace, preachers of brotherliness, love forgiveness, happiness and also bring prosperity and all the values the CPDM party stands for" She added

Speaking earlier, the Mezam Divisional Permanent Coordinator Mbayu Felix said the appointees are square peg in square holes. That their dedication and steadfastness to the ideologies of the party, further solidified by their actions in previous party activities, makes them ripe for the task ahead. 

With the presidential election envisaged for October, minister Mbayu told them there's no time to rest on their lories, as work must go on to ensure that potential voters and sympathizers of the party are enlisted, so as to give president Paul Biya a resounding victory come October.

The occasion pulled in CPDM militants and Sympathizers in their numbers and was graced with traditional dances and animation from dance groups. 

As the 2025 presidential election, envisaged for October draws near, political parties continue to strengthen their agenda. The ruling cpdm stands as one of the strong contenders in the upcoming race for president in the presidential, municipal and legislative elections expected in the country between October of 2025 to February of 2026.

Militants of the party in the North West during the celebration of the Ruby Jubilee celebration in Bamenda in the month of March, made a clarion call for president Paul Biya to stand as their candidate, and for him to launch his campaigns in the chief town of Bamenda, the party's birth place and the president's second home.
