Bamenda II Mayor, Chenwi Peter donates 100 bags of cement to PC Ntamulung

The mayor of Bamenda II council, Chenwi Peter has kept to his words by donating 100 bags of cement to Presbyterian Church Ntamulung, which is currently raising funds for the construction and equipment of a new manse for the parish pastor, that will also play host to a good number of offices for the presbytery. 

The mayor and patron of the Christian Men's Fellowship(CMF) group of PC Ntamulung on February 19th, had pledged 100 bags of cement for the project when it was announced in church during a service to celebrate and reward the performance of CMF Ntamulung that came 2nd at last year's National Annual rally in December.

The consignment of cement was handed to the church Sunday March 1st, one week after he made the pledge.

The donation was announced in church, followed by a letter of appreciation, signed on behalf of the christians of Presbyterian Church Ntamulung by the parish pastor Teneng Lucas, who doubles as the Presbytery secretary for Mezam.

The construction equipping of the new mount according church officials will swallow over Fcfa 22,000,000frs.

The consignment of cement was handed to the church by his 1st deputy Louis Angwafor, who represented him at the fundraising service.

Mayor Chenwi Peter, took the commitment to support the giant project after coughing out 300,000frs to CMF Ntamulung, for emerging 2nd out of 824 groups that took place at the 2024 annual rally in December.

Speaking in an interview when he made the pledge, mayor Chenwi Peter had said that, in developing the municipality its also incumbent on him to develop and beautify the houses of worship therein.
