Bamenda I Mayor Mbigha Njah Felix, Donates to Muslims observing ramadan in his municipality

The mayor of Bamenda I council, Mbigha Njah Felix has handed over to the muslims in his municipality, a package consisting of Flour, Rice and sugar as they continue to observe ramadan.
Speaking as he hands the basic commodities, mayor Mbigha Felix said the community enjoys relative peace thanks to the constant prayers offered to Allah by the Muslim community in Bamenda I, whom he also saluted for taking actions towards the growth and development of the municipality.
" If we do not come to you today in your times of need to offer these items so that you continue to pray for us the authorities and the community, then we'll be committing a grave error. I thank you for your prayers for peace in Bamenda I council, the region and Cameroon" he said.
He encouraged them to continue to leave in harmony with their counterparts and non muslims in the community, as it takes two to tangle as far as peace building is concern.
"it's just a symbolic gesture to permit them replenish their energy after going through fasting for the day" mayor Mbigha added.
Receiving the widows mighty might from the mayor at the Bamendakwe Mosque located at hotspot, their leader expressed gratitude but like oliver twist pleaded with the mayor add other projects in his calendar of activities to beautify the surroundings around the Mosque.
He said, while they continue to pray for the sustainance of peace in the municipality, the mayor should put in his development program, the, opening of gutters and arrangement of roads to avoid flooding which makes accessibility to the Mosque a little bit difficult.
He also pleaded with the mayor to do something as far as water around the area is concerned, to sustain the needs of the those in the community.
The mayor was accompanied for the exercise by some councilors and other council staff for the donation exercise
To note that the Bamenda I council area has seen a rapid growth in infrastructural development owing to it's peaceful nature as compared to other council area in Bamenda city.
Many have relocated to the sub division as they run away from atrocities committed by armed separatists since the crisis turned violent.
